the legacy of “meme” brown

June 2, 1970 – December 30, 2022
Though she may no longer be with us, Meme’s indomitable spirit, passion, and commitment to excellence continue to resonate throughout the very fabric of The Cincinnati Official Juneteenth Parade.

As we celebrate the success of the parade, we also mourn the loss of an exceptional leader. However, Meme’s legacy endures. The C.O.J. P. teams remains a family—a family bound by the principles she instilled, the knowledge she shared, and the warmth she exuded.

The journey continues, and while Meme may no longer be with us, her impact reverberates. The torch she lit is now carried forward by those who understand the value of knowledge, compassion, and dedication.

Thank you, Meme, for being the heartbeat of The Cincinnati Official Juneteenth Parade, forever remembered and deeply missed. #InHerMemory
