This year, we are proud and humbled to join Juneteenth Cincinnati—now in its 38th year—for a powerful, reimagined celebration of freedom, legacy, and community.

On this powerful day of reflection and celebration, we invite you to join us in honor of our ancestors, our culture, and our future.

Walk with us through Eden Park during our Parade of Flags, contribute to our upcoming Juneteenth documentary, and help us raise the funds needed to bring the 5th Annual Juneteenth Parade back to the streets of Cincinnati in 2026.

The Parade of Flags: Honoring the African Diaspora
The African Diaspora is the term commonly used to describe the mass dispersion of peoples from Africa during the Transatlantic Slave Trades, from the 1500s to the 1800s. During this time, millions of Africans from Western and Central Africa were forcibly taken to various regions throughout the Americas and the Caribbean.

The Juneteenth Festival recognizes that shared legacy with a Parade of the Flags of the Diaspora, featuring over 75 flags representing the origins and destinations of enslaved Africans. This symbolic march is a living tribute to the strength, survival, and cultural contributions of Black people throughout the world.

WALK IN UNITY – YOUTH & ORGANIZATIONS INVITED

We are calling on the community, youth leaders, schools, and organizations to join this momentous walk:

🧒🏽 Youth participants will lead the march by carrying the Flags of the Diaspora
🧢 Organizations are invited to walk behind the youth, proudly wearing their logo t-shirts or hats
🚫 No banners or signs — only unity, presence, and purpose
🎟️ Participation is FREE

💡 Instead of paying a fee, groups are encouraged to:
Donate to help cover this year’s parade costs (permits, police, logistics)
Or contribute now to secure participation in next year’s 5th Annual Juneteenth Parade return to the streets of Cincinnati
